Ed Planner

Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 April 2026

By using Ed Planner — the Student Planner and Teacher Planner web apps at student.ed-planner.com and teacher.ed-planner.com — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

Ed Planner provides online planning tools for teachers and students. The service is operated by Marc Curran (sole trader) and is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in future; if so, existing users will be notified before any charge applies.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, particularly if the breach causes harm to other users or to third parties.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you create in Ed Planner (subjects, classes, lessons, notes, diary entries, uploaded files, etc.). You grant us only the minimum licence needed to store that content and display it back to you across devices. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

5. Integrations with Google services

If you connect your Google account, your use of that data is also governed by Google's terms. Ed Planner reads and writes only the data scopes you consent to — see our Privacy Policy for the full list. We don't keep copies beyond what's needed to display results inside the app.

Ed Planner's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Availability and changes

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or uninterrupted availability. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always suit your needs or be bug-free.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ed Planner's liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months (which, while the service is free, is £0) or (b) £100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under English law.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any data you cannot afford to lose. We run regular backups but do not guarantee recovery of individual accounts.

9. Termination

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another EU country, in which case you can also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll update this page as the service evolves. Material changes will be flagged with a banner inside the app the next time you sign in. The "Last updated" date above changes with every revision. Continued use after the update counts as acceptance.
